Chateau Kefraya Les Breteches Rose 2021
Description and tasting notes
Les Bretèches gets its name from a “bretèche”, a projecting window with floor openings originally used for defensive purposes, which is a feature of the castle on the Château Kefraya estate.
The wine is made by ‘bleeding’ (‘saignée’) and direct pressing. Direct pressing: on direct pneumatic press under controlled atmosphere combining Inertys technology. Bleeding: after destemming and soft crushing, berries are placed in tanks where the juice is immediately bled followed by ‘debourbage’ at 8 degrees
A rose petal pastel color, with silver highlights.
The first bouquet is delicate, with a fine intensity subtly revealing fresh notes of berries mixed with notes of raspberry and pear. The second nose is fruitier and offers notes of citrus and fresh pomelo. The nose is clear, flawless, delicate and complex.
The first impression is soft. This wine is balanced on the palate with notes of berries, redcurrant and citrus. The finish is long-lasting.
Serve well chilled between 5 and 7 degrees
Food Pairing: Lebanese mezze or grilled meats.
This wine is best served young but can be drunk up to 3 years after the vintage date.
