Château Qanafar is a family-owned and run winery with the goal to produce the highest quality wine possible. The key to Château Qanafar's ability to produce one of Lebanon's finest wines is that all its grapes come from 17 hectares of vineyards owned or managed by the winery. This provides Château Qanafar with complete control over viticultural decisions and focuses on the quality of berries produced. With all the vineyards being located less than 10 minutes away from the winery, the berries are manually harvested and quickly brought in to prevent unwanted microbiological and enzymatic processes from affecting the resulting wine. [read more]Most of its grapes are grown at an average altitude of 1200 m on gently sloping vineyards, with soil humidity and fertility at just the right levels to promote the growth of deep roots and ultimately, delivery of nutrients at the right amounts for berries of exceptional color and flavor.This combination of great fruit and a winemaking philosophy centered on producing natural wines with little interference yields the unique wines of Château Qanafar.
Situé au cœur de la vallée de la Bekaa, parmi les coteaux gérés par le domaine en suivant une agriculture raisonnée, Château Qanafar est un domaine familial avec comme objectif la production de vins de très haute qualité. Pour réaliser cela, les vignobles se situent à pas plus de 10 minutes du chai et les récoltes manuelles sont triées à la main pour ensuite suivre une vinification naturelle sans l’ajout de produits œnologiques.
