In Northern Lebanon, just 600m above Batroun, lies the road into Chabtine. Follow this road past the many shrines, and at its natural end you will find vinyards and the 200 year old olive trees of Domaine S.Najm. It is here that our story begins.
[read more]Domaine S.Najm is the creation of Salim and Hiba Najm, a couple whose family been producing Olive Oil and Arak for over 60 years. In the early 1990's, it seemed a natural progression to add a Red Wine to the S.Najm family.
Together with Salim’s experience as an agricultural engineer and Hiba’s expertise as an oenologist, they set out to create the best red wine Chabtine has to offer. By skillfully combining Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache and Mourvèdre grapes and studying the unique terroir to learn when to harvest and when to not, their trial and error is now beginning to pay of.
