El-Sabban
El-Sabban’s wines are an exploration of Lebanese terroir, shaped through a nomadic, négociant mechanism. Each cuvée serves as a medium for deepening his connection to Lebanese identity, informed by time spent learning under the guidance of diverse producers. The range spans from high-altitude, mineral-driven expressions to deeper, more textural styles, all based on natural winemaking and inspired by old-school technique. Each bottle subtly showcases its origin yet carries a pulse that feels distinctly contemporary.
Rami El-Sabban, a former sommelier, found his path in wine by directing programs in Miami and Montreal, where he highlighted bottles from around the world but became particularly devoted to sharing those of Lebanon and the broader region. Years of tasting and storytelling shaped his understanding of how wine can hold culture, memory, and belonging. In 2022, he returned to Lebanon to pursue one of his lifelong dreams: foraging fruit high in the mountains, coaxing native yeasts awake, and crafting wines defined by terroir, instinct, and simplicity. His winemaking philosophy is progressive, a quiet act of reimagining tradition year after year without ever breaking its thread.
